OUR CELLAR
In the Heart of the Isonzo River
Pierpaolo Pecorari – named after my father – lies at the heart of the Isonzo River Valley in Friuli Venezia Giulia, Italy. Nestled above the river, protected by surrounding hills and mountains, it enjoys a unique position between the Alps to the northeast and the Adriatic Sea to the southwest.
This land, once part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire until the end of World War I, has seen the passage of many cultures. Today, you can still sense the influence of Mitteleuropean heritage, beautifully woven into our Italian identity.
Our microclimate—shaped by the nearby river, the eastern wind we call Bora, the sea, and the mountains—makes our vineyards unlike any other place on Earth. It is a truly exceptional terroir, ideal for crafting fresh, aromatic, mineral-rich white wines and elegant reds that carry the soul of Central Europe, yet speak with an unmistakably Italian voice—all rooted in the character of our land.
These wines are the result of generations tending the vines, the profound influence of the Isonzo Valley, and our forward-looking vision.

I hope that Pierpaolo Pecorari wines bring you joy, serenity, and love – because that is what they were created to share.
Joy, Serenity, and Love – the voice of Pierpaolo Pecorari Wines.
